Serie E was as close a Championship race as we will ever get. Going down to the last dubious assist on the last day of the season. Paul sneaked the Championship by 2pts from Marek. Going into the last week Marek held a 10 point lead but his demise and Paul's glory has often been put down to Arsenals championship victory a week early. Paul with Owen in his side watched on as the scousers beat the already Champions Arsenal 4-0 with Owen getting 7 pts, to compound matters for Marek he had 2 Arsenal defenders!! Paul's victory can be put down to his gamble on young Mr. Owen at the start of the season as well as great seasons for Overmars and Beckham. Although Marek's Arsenal defence of Adams and Keown nearly won through for him, but his matching of Paul's West Ham defender cost him dear in the end (-4 pts in the last week). The rest of the places disappeared in to a drunken haze of double celebrations for the rest of us Arsenal  supporters but I believe Mad Dog finished 3rd after being in close contention all season. Simon saw off Graham Y for 4th spot.

Nigel finished in what will become a regular bottom half finish. After last season's promise he could only manage 6th place in Serie E. Graham R improving on last year finished 7th, Kevin a disappointing 8th and Julian a surprising last !!!

The League Series was won by Mad Dog finishing 7 points clear of Simon. Nigel finished 3rd. Julian to complete a memorable all round season finished last in the League Series as well.

In the Ken Bates Memorial, Paul beat Marek in the final (a taste of things to come). Mad Dog beat Graham R in a very close and high scoring Coupe de PG final 24-22. Simon managed some silverware for the season by beating Nigel in the FA (to play for) final.
