The Records |
Serie B really was a family affair. the Roberts boys spent the season as
the only real contenders for our 1st league title. In the end Graham
took the honours by 35 points from Paul. Grahams master stroke being
picking up a young Robbie Fowler at the auction for next to nothing and
then watch him go on and score 88 pts. Although Paul's did have a
certain bloke called Shearer chipping in with 126 pts.
Graham Y snatched 3rd place from Marek on the last week of the season followed home lamely by Simon (5th) and Mad Dog (6th). Julian as was soon to become a ritual, finished last. The first Ken Bates Memorial Trophy was won by Mad Dog beating Graham R in the final. His first piece of much silverware. The first Coupe de PG was won by Graham R to round off a successful first season by beating Graham Y in a close final 16-11. The Fa (to play for) Cup saw Marek open his trophy cabinet for the first time by beating Simon in the final. |
